With a SunLite Excel trailer, the freedom doesn’t end at the end of the riding day. No more anxiously searching for a vacant motel room when it’s time to kick back or frantically setting up your tent and sleeping gear in the last few minutes of remaining daylight. Sport And Touring
Like your cruiser-riding kin, you live for the open road but you prefer a more spirited ride that comes with a sport tourer. Not to worry, one of our SunLite trailers is a perfect match for even the most sporty of sport tourers. Light weight yet packed with features, the SunLite Excel II trailer will keep up with you no matter how far (or even how fast) you decide to roam.
With a SunLite trailer, you can set up camp wherever, and whenever you feel like stopping. Simply flip open the top, and within seconds your home away from home is good to go. And whether you’re riding some big American iron or you’ve gone the Metric route, a SunLite trailer is the perfect way to make your travels not only more convenient but also much more comfortable.
Sidecars / Trikes
As an authorized Ural dealer, we just have to give a shout-out to our three-wheeled friends here in the southern Ontario Ural community. We also know that many of our Ural and sidecar riding pals love to take their machines camping and while you can store a lot of gear in a sidecar, you can’t cram a trailer in there. That’s why you too, need to get your hands on a SunLite trailer.
And while your Ural may not be fastest thing on three wheels, it delivers a ton of power and all that torque is ideal for towing a small camping trailer.
We’ve helped several of our customers set up their Urals or other sidecar rig to tow trailers with excellent results so if you’ve been thinking about adding a hitch to your Ural, come in and see the SunLite Excel today!
Spyder Ryders will also love how nicely a SunLite trailers matches with a Spyder!
And if you have a sports car and like to take advantage of the occasional track weekend with your driving club, what better way to get your accommodations to the paddock area. Even the smallest sports car can easily tow the SunLite and with the extra storage space, you can easily bring your mounted track tires as well!

Commonly Asked Questions
What should I use for water repellent? And how often?
We recommend that you spray your tent SEAMS (not the whole trailer) with a product called Camp Dry. Once a season should be enough, but if your camping season sees a significant amount of rain, you could do it again that same year.
How much weight can I carry on my trailer?
The weight for your cargo will depend on the vehicle you are using to pull the trailer. The axle is rated for no more than 550 lbs including the trailer. If you are pulling the trailer with a trike, please remember that you will need to stop and any extra weight will greatly decrease the bikes ability to slow.
What is a "Rain Fly"?
The rain fly is simply a tarp created to protect the roof of the tent. This is attached by Velcro and snaps. This adds water proof protection to the roof along with protecting from natural elements such as camp fire embers, falling debris, sap etc. This is included with all trailers at no additional cost.
Why does SunLite have so many different options?
A long time ago we discovered that all customers needs are different. We decided to let each individual customer pick which options were suitable for them. Not all of our customers want an awning or storage pod, and many of our trike friends, like to keep the weight completely down and have absolutely no options.
Where is the 30 sq ft of storage.
The storage inside the trailer is essentially the bed. The bed will be loaded up prior to closing the tent. All of the fabric and poles fold up along the inside edges of the camper shell. The entire middle is open for storage.
Should I wait until my tent is dry prior to closing the tent?
It is not always possible to wait until it stops raining to pack up camp and head for the next stop or head home. You can pack up your camp while wet and head to your next stop without damaging the tent. When the weather is dry enough, open the tent and give it a good airing out.
How long can I expect the fabric to last in my trailer?
If you look after the tent carefully, you can expect it to last 20 or more years.
Can I purchase the storage pod after I buy my trailer?
Yes, all of our options can be purchased at any time. The base trailer is equipped to be used with all of the options.
